The Definitive Media Library table holds information about how and where software applications are stored. It is visible in a related table within a configuration item record when the CI Type is Software. The table appears below the SLA and license information on the Details tab of the configuration item. It is an optional table that appears only if the function is turned on in the ITIL Functions table.

The records hold basic information about whether the storage type is electronic or physical, and depending on the answer, fields for the location information or the URL.
