Working with Multiple Environments

Whenever you require multiple environments in your system, such as a test environment separate from a production environment, it's helpful to maintain clear boundaries between the environments and also create a clear channel for sending system entities.

If your system involves a test or build environment separate from production, see Managing Multiple Environments for details on how to establish visual indicators in the test environment, how to correctly configure integrations and email options, and how to successfully refresh the environment should it fall out of step with the production environment.

For information about sending entities between environments, such as new tables and fields created in a build environment, see Pushing Changes to Production.
