Agiloft provides quarterly releases with new functionality, plus monthly maintenance releases. This page includes the full list of changes for the listed version, as there is no longer a separate release notes page beginning with Release 26. We recommend reviewing the release notes before you upgrade. If you are upgrading through multiple versions, review the changes for each version between your current and target releases.

New Features and Enhancements

This section details new enhancements to your system.

Easily integrate with Salesforce using the Integration Hub

Salesforce integrations are now powered by Integration Hub, where you can use the Agiloft app to connect your systems quickly and easily. With the new app, you can:

  • Sync Salesforce Accounts to Agiloft Companies
  • Sync Salesforce Opportunities to Agiloft Opportunities
  • Create an Agiloft Contract while in Salesforce
  • View Contract Status in Salesforce

If you already have Salesforce integrated with your system, we don't recommend changing your configuration right now. If you need to reference information about an older configuration, see Legacy Salesforce Integration.

For information about the new app, such as installation, see Agiloft App for Salesforce. This app requires an Integration Hub license.

Align clauses to similar Contract Clauses

Now, the Agiloft Word app redlining feature offers the option to Align Clauses using Contract Clause records, instead of only clause records stored in the Clause Library. This can be useful if your organization doesn't have a Clause Library, or prefers to use the Contract Clause table.

To align clauses in a document, open a tagged clause in the Word app, click Check Playbook, and scroll down to the Similar Contract Clauses section. When you've chosen a clause from the list, click Align Clauses.

For more information about Align Clauses, see Generative AI.

More useful subject line in comment notification emails

Email notifications for new comment mentions now offer more information at a glance by leveraging the summary field for the record. Where previously the subject line stated only the table and record ID, it now includes table, record ID, and the summary field value for the record.

To set a text field as the summary field for a table, edit the field, go to the Options tab, and set "Display as summary field?" to Yes.

Improved toolbar for the Document Viewer

Document Viewer has added some new features to improve the contract review and management experience, in the form of an upgraded toolbar. On the toolbar, there are three new icons:

  • The Info icon opens the Details pane, which showcases a snapshot of the Contract record, complete with a contract summary and key metadata.
  • The Comment icon opens the Ask AI pane, an existing feature now available in the document viewer. This leverages the power of generative AI to answer questions about the contract.
  • The Tag icon opens the Tags pane, which shows a list of the labels tagged in the document viewer.

You can also now edit the document from the viewer by clicking Edit and selecting Open in Microsoft Word.

New option for numeric field types to automatically round values down

Numeric field types like decimals, percentage, currency, and calculated result fields now offer multiple modes for rounding data. Where previously setting a field to round the data would always use the half up mode of rounding, you can now select any of these rounding modes, in conjunction with the number of digits you want to round to:

  • Half Up: Values below the halfway point are rounded down, while values at or above the halfway point are rounded up. For example, 1.1 rounds down to 1, but 1.6 rounds to 2. This is the default mode if you enable rounding.
  • Up: Values are always rounded up, away from zero.
  • Down: Values are always rounded down, toward zero.
  • Ceiling: Values are always rounded up to the nearest value.
  • Floor: Values are always rounded down to the nearest value.

For most applicable field types, this option is available on the Options tab of the field wizard.

Browser handling improvements

This release includes the first round of several behind-the-scenes changes that modernize how Agiloft interacts with your browser. In this release, you might notice:

  • Refreshing a page no longer loses your session. For now, this takes you to your home screen.
  • Shorter URLs. Sessions are now managed with cookies, which allows a much more succinct URL.
  • Only one session per browser. Previously, you might have logged in as different users in different browser tabs to expedite testing. This is no longer permitted. However, you can use multiple separate browsers, or incognito or private browser windows, to achieve the same effect.

All Setup sub-menus are now consistent in showing breadcrumb links, so you can easily keep your bearings and jump between menus as needed.

Bug Fixes

Additional enhancements have been made to improve the security of your system.

Fixed an issue where document analysis actions sometimes published Contract Clause records with a source of "Manually tagged clause" when the source should be "Extracted /Tagged clause". Now, these records are published with the correct source.

Previously, users could access the Ask AI feature before their documents finished loading, resulting in responses as if the document did not contain any text. Now, this feature only becomes available after the document has finished loading.

Fixed an issue where Modify Document actions sometimes encountered an error if the Add XML option was set to No.

Fixed an issue that sometimes did not save edits to a comment. Now, these edits save consistently.

Fixed an issue where the document viewer sometimes appeared blank when opening PDFs.

Fixed an issue in the Word app that sometimes prevented deleting a clause tag with a red warning icon. Now, these clauses are deleted, as expected.

Fixed an issue that sometimes caused clauses to be highlighted in yellow instead of blue in the document viewer.

Fixed an issue where new password validation sometimes applied more stringent requirements than configured in the field settings. For example, if you selected "Do not require mixed case letters," you might still be prompted to include a capital letter in your desired password. Now, these settings are respected consistently.

Fixed an issue that prevented generating group permission reports.

Fixed an issue where action buttons did not respect Wait points for interactive conversions. Now, if you configure an action button with an interactive conversion and then a Wait point, the process waits for the conversion to be complete before proceeding.

Fixed an issue with GRAPH inbound email that sometimes prevented incoming email from appearing in the Communications table.

Fixed an issue with conditional field permissions that sometimes did not properly restrict access for new groups that were created, even if "Restrict for any new groups that are added" was selected. Now, the permissions propagate as expected.

Fixed an issue that sometimes caused errors when importing Excel data that was generated by another system. Now, this data imports correctly.

March 2025 Maintenance Release

Fixed an issue where clicking the Reload button in the Word app sometimes unexpectedly signed the user out. Now, reloading works as expected.

Fixed an issue where the Word app failed to identify chain variables if they were placed at the end of sentences in document templates in syntax mode. Now, this issue is fixed.

Fixed an issue with Ask AI where previous questions could fail to appear when reloading a document. Now, previous questions appear for all documents.

Fixed an issue that disabled the Delete Column and Delete Row buttons in the table layout editor when multiple layout slots were selected.

Fixed an issue that sometimes caused DocuSign envelopes to contain only one attachment, instead of all the files to sign.

Fixed an issue where editing a comment and inserting an @-mention prevented the updates from saving correctly.

Fixed an issue with search filters where "is contained in" and "is not contained in" were mistakenly listed as options for evaluating Date Time field values. Now, these operators do not appear, as expected.

Fixed an issue where calling a Linked Record action from another Linked Record action sometimes did not resolve the chain of fields correctly.

Streamline your contract review with Screens by Agiloft

Your Agiloft system now unlocks the door to Screens, an AI-powered contract analysis solution available as an app in Microsoft Word. Screens uses contract review playbooks you can configure to ensure specific contract requirements are met. Use pass/fail standards to check for compliance with requirements, and add questions to simplify document data retrieval. Screens redlines and comments help you breeze through common review tasks in a fraction of the time.

For example, an Arbitration Agreement screen would include AI prompts for all of the information your organization requires in an Arbitration Agreement contract. Simply run that screen on a third-party Arbitration Agreement to get a user-friendly score that illustrates how much of your requirements the contract has met, with extracted examples for clauses that align with your standards and items that need your attention.

To make sure you capture any data from your users running screens, make sure to deploy the Screens app in your KB as soon as you upgrade to 29.0.2. To do so:

  1. Log in to your KB as an admin.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Integrations.
  3. Under Screens, click Deploy.

Clicking the Deploy button does the following in your KB:

  • Creates two new tables, the Screen Run and Screen Result tables. Screens results from any user are automatically mapped into these tables.
  • Creates fields in these tables to capture Screens results, as well as a linked set of fields to the Attachment table. You might want to edit your Attachment table layout to add this linked set to the record form.
  • Links screen result data to an Attachment record ID as long as the user opened the attachment from within Agiloft.

To open Screens:

  1. Open a contract document from Agiloft using Checkout & Edit.
  2. If it's not already in Microsoft Word, install the Screens app from the Microsoft App Store.
  3. Once it's installed, click Screens in the top right corner.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. Click Sign In with Agiloft Account.
  6. Enter your Agiloft KB credentials. If you are the first user accessing Screens for your organization, make sure to log in as an administrator.
    1. For Server URL, copy your KB's URL, only copying from https:// to .com/, or similar.
    2. For KB Name, copy the name of the KB located in the top right corner of your KB.
    3. Use the same login and password you use to access Agiloft.
    4. Follow the prompts to provision a workspace for your organization, and select the appropriate data residency.

Once you've signed in, you can screen documents that have been opened with the Checkout & Edit feature in Agiloft. These results will populate into the Screen Result and Screen Run tables. Any time a user checks out a document and runs a screen, the results flow into the Screens tables in your KB.

For more information about setting up Screens in Agiloft, visit Screens.

For more information about Screens in general, visit the Screens help center.

All Agiloft users automatically have the ability to use Screens with the release of 29.0.2. If you want to disable Screens for your organization, refer to Screens.

Fixed an issue with displaying Chinese characters when viewing a .docx file in the document viewer.

Fixed an issue that sometimes unexpectedly closed a user's session when logging in to Agiloft in the same KB on a second tab, or opening an email hotlink. Now, the session in the first tab is not closed in these cases.

Fixed an issue that sometimes caused errors when using Edit Fields to select values in a linked field in the main table view.
