Commenting on Records

You can comment on records directly in Agiloft to make notes, ask questions, and flag things for a colleague's attention without leaving the application.

Adding Comments

To get started, simply click the Comments button at the top right of the record to open the pane.

If you don't see this button, you don't have the necessary permissions to access comments for that table. An administrator can grant access to your permission group.

From there, you can enter a new comment using the text input box, or click Reply to respond directly to an earlier comment. Use the at (@) sign and begin typing a name to tag a specific user in your comment. If the user you want to tag does not appear as a suggestion, that user doesn't have permission to access comments, and you'll need to reach out to them another way. If you tag a user who has commenting permission, but doesn't have permission to view the record, the user is notified of the comment text, but they aren't able to open the record or reply.

After you post a comment, you can use the three dot menu to edit or delete it.

Notifications

When you post a comment that tags another user, that person receives an email notification. If you click Reply to respond to an earlier comment, everyone in the thread receives a notification automatically, so you don't need to continue to tag the same people in the same discussion.
